Slow Torrent Speeds

Ok i have opened all my ports in the firewall etc.

Thing is i'm still getting speeds like 3kb - 10+ kb.. it nv goes over 20 ... ok it does but for while only...

Its a good torrent with lots of seeds and peers. so y ?

Can your ISP being making Traffic Shapping?
(Filtering the traffic and reducing torrent speed).

That always isn't a good indication of whether the download should be fast or not. In theory 1000 seeds and 1000 peers would be just as fast for you if there was 1 seed and 1 peer. Have you tried another torrent? To test torrents bandwidth I usually grab openoffice here distribution: OpenOffice.org P2P Downloads

Are you using a public tracker or a private one? The public ones I've used rarely get over 40 - 60, but the private trackers I belong to avg between 300-700.
