Windows vista cascading

My certified data laptop( 2 years old) worked perfect up until a couple of days ago, all of a sudden I now have 6 windows desk tops (3x3)...........I have tried the tool bar for cascading, windows stacked and side by side......all are greyed out, but can not reset..everything works otherwise (internet incuded, I just have 6 of everything) I tried updating My display adapters and such, says they are working and up to date...My "new" system rating is '1' I also tried to 'roll back' my display adapter and it is greyed out also.......

When Im in display settings My resolution is 800x800 pixels (low) but will not allow Me to change it....please, what else can I try?

You have set up desktop as "tile". Go back to settings and change to your preference

On desktop right click
personalize
desktop background

on bottom of frame, reset picture background.

It didnt give Me an option to "reset" but it did give Me 3 options to choose from (by pictures) panoramic, multi screen and the normal, it was set on normal, so I changed it to panoramic, it did change it, but in all six screens...so I changed it back to "normal" and still have 6 screens ( just tried the multi screen....and nothing happens in any of the 6 screens...)

I just tried a "print screen" and sent it to myself ( I am using a different laptop to chat with You) opened it on the laptop Im using to chat with You...it only shows one screen, not all 6 ....dont know if this helps You any?

You have tile setting. It should show tile

on the toolbar...yes, all are greyed out....cascade windows, show windows stacked, show windows side by side.....

in personized desktop back ground, I only get 3 pictures to choose from (is there another way to change it to 'tile' ??

This is the only way that I know to go to tile, to remove its done in reverse

Try it with the following Registry file.
Click the file RSTWP.reg, and confirm with yes.
Before you run the file, please make sure to create a Restore Point first.
