So as I can barely see, I am posting on this/... forum.
As none of you might guess, I am using an HP HDX 16 1040us laptop, and after 3 years, starting it up for the umpteenth time, the screen wwent black. I can't believe it.
After lots of trying, I found out that after pointing a very bright flashlight onto the monitor, we can see bits and pieces of the damn thing (Going "green", hehehe...)
My questoin- what can I do to fix this?
Here is the info you should know--
1. Booting in Ubuntu, when I switch between graphics and terminal mode, it goes on normall brightness for a second, and then goes back to this economy mode -rolls eyes-.
2. Our laptop battery is long dead, but that did not keep it from working like it should for a few months.
3. I have not yet tested plugging in another monitor, I have very limmited recources.
4. I can hardly see what I am doing, so when you reply to this, please make your letters as black as possible :P
5.I rolled back the graphics card driver, it went bright for a second or two, and went back to it's business.
SO.
Please help, and I will ve grateful for life
