AMD HD 3000 graphics issue

Hello,

I have an Gigabyte MA78LMT Motherboard with and Intergrated AMD HD 3000 graphics. I also have a AMD Radeon HD 6450 External GPU....

Here are the specs:
AMD HD 3000
Memory 512MB Shared
Manual clock speed of 760MHz

AMD HD 6450
Clock speed: 740MHz
Mem Speed: 910Mhz
Memory: 1GB

It reports the HD 3000 bandwidth to be higher than the HD 6450... Everything else is lower apart from the Bus width...


Does this mean the HD 3000 intergrated is slightly faster???

Any info appreciated.

Well bandwidth is how much info it can spit out, being stuck on the motherboard helps it use your memory better, as it runds off your system.

If you lookm, the ddr5 has 28GB/s too.

There are far more important factors then bandwidth, like say cores/transistors

The 6450 miles. Dedicated card nearly always beats the onboard.

Theres almost 2 times the amont of transistors, and all other specs beat it. Btw, yoiu cant compare clock speeds either...

If yhou havent figured it out, the 6450 wins.

Also the increase in is a plus memory as well as having a card with it's own dedicated memory. Just be sure to disable the built in graphics in the bios provided that's an option.

Memory only really helps for video size. As in if you go over 1920x1080, 512meg vs 1Gig will barely show any differrence.
