Solved card advice

hi all

on my pc i use for games i've started having a BIG problem in that i think my card is faulty

im using the nvidia gefore 6800 GT and while playing a game the screen kept turning on and off, then lines of dots started appearing, now i can't boot the computer up to windows with the card enabled. I took out the card, gave it a wee clean etc and still having the same problem, tried unistalling and then reinstalling the driver but nothing works.

Is there a way to fix this or is it time to get a new card???

Hi,

It does sound as thought there is a hardware issue. Do you have a spare card to try?

Is there an internal graphics set on the motherboard you could try?

thanks for the reply, unfortunatly i don't have a spare card, but i've disabled the nvidia card and its running ok on the internal card, well by ok i mean i can start the computer and use the internet but can't get games going. as soon as i enable the nvidia card again though the computer crashes, looks like im needing a new card then
