How to update graphics card?

Well, ive had it. the radeon HD 3200 is way out of date and is forcing me to play all new games lowest settings possinle. my computers pretty dam good though, 4Gb RAM quad core gateway DX with around 600 GB hard drive.

However, although i do not know much about the hardware, i am pretty sure that the problem is my graphics card. so i was wondering how i would update the card? or would i have to buy a new one to play games at higher resolution without all the dam lag and poor graphics?

if id have to buy a new one, whats the best affordable one there is (in your opinion)? if i can update it and have it be ok, could you possibly leave alink and basic instructionS?

Gosh. Definatly go for a new card. ATi f***ed everything up. Although i like my mobility radeon. Anyway you could try get the update from www.game.amd.com and go to downloads. But most of the packages dont contain any drivers cuz ati is S***. Or this. Go to google and type driver heaven. download mobility modder.net and a CCC depending on your OS and 32bit or x64. The latest one they have is 8.12 and it runs great on my laptop. Games like Half life 2 and Garrys Mod runs with high settings and i only have 1.8Ghz 3Gb Mem and a 64MB dedicated ATi card. ANYWAY again. follow the instructions on mobilty modder under HELP. and make sure u have MSXML 2.0 or something.
