Looking for an All Monochrome system setup

I'm pretty colorblind, so a 32-Million color palette is, well... it's silly.

I want to set up Vista to run all black monochrome. I imagine this would also save compute cycles for my graphics card and, thus, electricity.

So, has anyone run across a black-and-white system palette anywhere?

Don't know how. Is there a tutorial somewhere, like a "make your own color palette" tutorial?

now when you say palette, do you mean the theme more or less?

you could try looking for a monitor that has the option to display monochrome instead of colour but the options there are very limited, most results i found were related to medical monitors with rather small screen sizes, one company did do similar monitors for buisness use as well in the monochrome range, www.totoku.com the prices weren't displayed so i didn't see how much things would cost but the option is there.

i did however come across a little app that converts the desktop to the old green style monitors of the past i have no idea if that even works or if it's a good idea to use it.

A link to that app would be appreciated. I can see green.
