Video card not right after reseting with recovery disk.

I recently reset my laptop a Gateway MT6451 back to factory settings. It had an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphics card installed. After the recovery, I reinstalled the drivers for the card then updated to the latest driver. It hasn't performed right since. I have actually reinstalled the driver 3 times to which no improvement!!! Now when I look into the BIOS info it only show me to have an ATI Radeon Xpress Series card....no 1150. I can't find anything at AMD/ATI that can help.

I realize this is a low-end graphics card, but it wont run the games I was running before the reset....even with the cleaned disk.

I Just DUNNO!!!

    Main Machine. Just upgraded my RAM to 8GB. Next task will be to get a new processor for this machine ( 9650 was for my secondary machine )

Did you un-install the old driver first ?.
Download driver sweeper and boot in to safe mode, un-install the driver, reboot and install the new driver.

Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (Setup) download from Guru3D.com

Give this a go, and see if there is any improvement.
