Hi, I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32. I have an Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT - not the best out there by any stretch, but it's not total crap. When I look at Vista's performance rating for my machine, it states a "1" for both graphics and gaming graphics.
When I click "update my score", my monitor shuts down into auto-save mode while the process is running. I can only do a hard shut down at that point. Then it restarts normally.
I know my score should be higher; it's not the score I care about but obviously something somewhere is corrupt yes? I have uninstalled/reinstalled the driver several times as well as the monitor itself, just in case. It also seems to go into this wacky 8-bit color scheme whenever auto-sleep activates, so I have had to turn that off. I have completely reinstalled Vista. Any ideas? Thank you!
