GTX 260 - 896mb Vista ratings (HELP)
ok i know theres already some topics about this, but i just got the pc yesterday, updated drivers etc.. and i run the ratings test and the PC SHUTS OFF !! everytime it hits one of the D3d parts or texture things on the test, basically anything to do with the graphics the pc shuts itself off!! Can someone please help me ???

that really cant be the problem on 32bit vista. i cant see why? it shuts the computer of alltogether??
also my internet has stopped working now

it could be a corrupt install of the directx files needed to perform the windows experience index scoring.

i think you need to reinstall vista if your getting so many problems at the same time, maybe a dodgy install from who you bought it off.

ya the new GTX 260 might be sucking all the power.
install the latest drivers, as messed up ones can cause ALL types of weird problems. as Nvidia is a big part of Vista problems. lol. until you get the drivers right.

The PSU seems big enough but it doesn't mean it can't go wrong.
Is the computer working ok with the GPU removed?
Have you check all connections to see if they all correctly connected?
Is the fan working on the GPU? Could over heat be a problem?
If can't coming up with any quick answer, best thing to try first is reinstall Vista.
Then we start from there.
