Vista64 basic interface questions

Can anyone tell me how to change these options in Vista? I tried looking in control panel but couldn't find the settings.

1)When deleting a file in Vista 64 how do you remove the 'confirm delete' option when sending an item to recycle bin?

2)When games crash in Vista 64 a window pops up saying "Windows is searching for a problem to the crash" how do you remove this annoying option?

3)How do you lock desktop icons/shortcuts on the desktop?

4)In Internet Explorer 'Favorites' column how do you remove 'confirm delete' prompt when deleting favorites links?

Stop the Problem Reports and Solutions Control Panel Support service and set it to Manual or Disabled. This tutorial will show you how if needed.

Right click on the desktop and click View, then uncheck Auto Arrange and Align to Grid. This will leave the icons where you put them.

I believe this uses the same confirmation for the Recycle Bin in the first question.

Hi brink, after using these settings for a week I thought everything was working fine until a game recently crashed and I noticed I'm still getting the "windows is checking for solution to the problem" every time a game crashes.

Even though I did exactly as you mentioned and changed the Problems and Solutions service to 'disabled' here is a screenshot:

Hi Talon,

Sorry, I was telling you how to disable just the Problem Reports and Solutions in the Control Panel (Classic View).

Disable these three also:

1. Diagnostic Policy Service
2. Diagnostic Service Host
3. Diagnostic System Host

That should do it for you.
