Can you get Aero with Vista Home Basic

The only way is to upgrade to the Home Premium or Ultimate version. A workaround to make it look a little more like Aero is to use the Advanced Appearance settings and change the colors and other items to look like Aero. You still will not have the Flip 3D or Glass Transparency though, but it will look more like it. Here is a link for how to use the Advanced Appearance settings.
