Program Stop Running

New Member
I just installed OpenOffice. After the install I got an error: "The program has stopped running!" The online test starts then shuts down. This has happened trying to install other programs. As of yet, I'm unable to find the solution. Prior to install I turn off the av. Can anyone help?

Do you UAC turned on? and have you tried right clicking in the setup file and running as administrator?

I found this problem with a couple of programs. What has worked for me is to exclude the program from DEP (Data Execution Prevention). You can do this through System > Advanced system settings > Performance | Settings... > Data Execution Prevention tab. Simply browse to and add the progam to the exclusion list.
