Has the Weather Gadget service/feed been stopped ?

I've noticed the last few days that the weather gadget is unchanging in its display (and the weather here certainly is) and so I tried putting different locations into it. When I search for a new location it says "service unavailable".


Anyone else having trouble. I wondered if the service had finally been axed tbh.

Thanks, that's interesting to know. If I turn anything up I'll post it here. I can "prove" it by quickly reinstalling Vista and seeing if it works (the current set up is imaged). If it had been axed though then no point.

Many thanks for that. Its a good read with a lot of unhappy bunnies :)

I'll probably have a look and try some of the suggestions tomorrow as my Vista install is on an older laptop.

I tried the quick fix of opening and saving the xml file as mentioned in post #29 in your link aove and that seems to have restored normal operation. Whether (or weather :)) it will be a permanent fix remains to be seen.
