Process & CPU activity

In Task Mgr. I go into processes and see almost static activity. Yet I see CPU activity at times from 5% to 20%.
Why?? Is not Process activity within RAM? There are no applications open and only MSE running.
Several minutes after boot the CPU goes to the normal 1 to 2 %.

Do you mean that there is no process running?

Did you check the box for "All Users"?

Hi Patnob...There are some 45 processes running and yes I checked that box. Let me say there is nothing wrong with the computer. I was just curious as to why there would be so little activity within processes and 15% CPU acivity.There no applications running and ram usage is 22%.Like I said cpu goes to 1-2% after several minutes.

it must just be residual boot up stuff that's doing it, but without a screen of it I really can't answer you properly.
