shutdown timer ?

hi

is there such a thing in windows as a shutdown timer to shutdown windows after a set period of time. or after period of inactivity. with the ability to abort if/when necessary

similar maybe to the way windows does after updates. (computer will in 15mins click to postpone) but user defined?

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The steps are for Windows 7, however they are similar for Windows Vista as well.

found this but does not work on vista.. Setup a free and easy Sleep Timer in Windows 7 (No software needed) - YouTube
vista is limited to 10mins or something?

but this is close to a solution however i would like something for shutdown after period of inactivity also.

will keep hunting for solution.

but any info help would be much appreciated
