Solved Need Guidance/Procedure for Reinstall of Windows Vista

I posted yesterday about not being able to download my email and getting error messages on virtually every shortcut and program (including my Chrome Browser) while in Normal Mode. Additionally, my Comodo Internet Security program has stopped working. I have taken all of the steps to restore my PC to good working order, to include a very recent attempt to restore my PC to the last known good configuration. At this point, I need some guidance on how to correctly reinstall my original Windows Vista OS from the D drive where it resides. Here are my specs:

HP PC model number SR5605F
Windows Vista Home Premium, SP2
AMD Athlon Processor LE-1640 2.71 GHz
2.00 GB RAM
32-bit operating system
Broadband internet connection
Comodo Internet Security
Chrome browser
Windows Mail 6.0.6000.16386 (Vista_rtm.061101-2205)

Quick question...when I unplug all of my peripheral devices, does that also include my modem and wireless router? Do I need an Internet connection while I'm doing my reinstall?

If the partition is not corrupt, it will be a very easy procedure. Good luck

Shawn and Rich...thanks for all of your advice and help! The Vista reinstall went VERY smoothly, to include the MASSIVE number of windows updates! I'm now in the process of reinstalling all of my other programs.
