ebacking up email groups

Hi,
Recently my Fujitsu laptop needed a complete 're-do' by the tech company. I have always backed up in the computer, also to my external H drive as well as burnt to CDs/DVD discs. I was devistated to find the email groups were not saved but the names of the groups were in the addresses/contact list.. e.g, click on group name in list= zilch.

The tech also backed up and re-installed relevent content = same result. I have Windows mail not Outlook. How can I ensure a complete back up?

Once a week back up the entire hard drive.
In the event of a devastating problem just reinstall from the most current image. You will be all set. The reinstall will be just like you remembered. You can back up with the free Macrium.

Thank you for reply. I don't have a problem with the regular back ups only the email backups of the groups. It only saved the names of the groups not the contents of groups.
