One Important Windows Update Failed

Hello Forum,

One of my Windows updates (one of nine) failed earlier, but when I opened up my Update window again to see if I could retry, it doesn't give you the option to do it (first time in five years with this computer it has happened - ALL my updates have been successful). It shows the failed update in the Update History, but does not give you the option to install it again. How can I try to install that update again even though I can't locate the option to do it? Thank you.

If an update failed it should be offered to you again. It may take time. Give it a few days.

Vista tells you exactly what error resulted in failed updates especially when it is not offered again after failing to install. Click the error and explanation will be shown. Chances are, the update was something either you do not need or already installed earlier.
