Solved User does not show up after fresh install

This is how I usually setup my Windows machines. I activate/create the admin account and then create a user account (not admin). Then I use the user account for everyday things and admin for specific tasks.

I did that with my machine after re-building and... the user account doesn't show up on the logon screen, just the admin account. How can I get the user account to show up?

Hello ysg, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Since you have Vista Ultimate, double check in the "Users" folder in "Local Users and Groups" (lusrmgr.msc) to see if the standard user account is listed and enabled.

If not, then it looks like the standard account was never created.
