Solved macrium image lost space on HDD ?

hi

i created a image of a small test partition to test macrium and created a 2.7gb image

now on the drive i imaged to (external hdd) i deleted the test image from (external hdd) however the image has been deleted but space is still occupied? (2.7gb) folder where image was stored is empty but still states 2.7gb is used space?

any help would be much appreciated

You need to delete the partition. Deleting only the volume will not get you unallocated space. If that is not the problem, post a picture of Disk Management.

sorry to waste your time whs.. it was USER ERROR (too little sllep i think) deleted image was in recycle bin needed to be deleted from recycle bin once was deleted space was reclaimed
