I have been running a shrink volume (to set 10 GB to unallocated space) on my 1.5 TB hard drive for almost a day and now it won't respond. It's still using 25% of my processor. Is this just one of vista's usual lies telling me that something is not responding when it is (like when moving large files)? I'm assuming terminating the process/turning off my computer would be a terrible idea because right now I can't use any of the free space on the hard drive (172 GB). Any suggestions on what I could do or should I just wait?
