Picture It *.mix Files

Is there actually a file called .mix. .mix is a standard for encoding metadata for .xml.

*.mix is/was a Microsoft "Picture It" file structure that they apparently nolonger support! I find it hard to believe that a program nolonger exist that can display these picture so they can be captured by a screen print. Any oldtimers out there have a method that can be used? Maybe on a MS millennium OS? TIA
