Solved Reinstalling Vista problems, SP1 also

I had to reinstall Vista, after the install, doing some updates I get an error message.

To the effect.. you will receive no notifications, windows is not genuine, etc.
A link to authenticate goes to a MS site, but no way to authenticate, just how to tell if it is genuine.

I have reloaded it ayt least twice before w/o this problem, it came with the HP and I am using HP recovery disks?

With SP1, get error code 0X80070000E, a MS link XXXXXXX?linkid=101139 goes to a page not available anymore?

That worked, Installed and Ran The System Update Readiness Tool,
SP1 and 2 loaded and was able to validate the windows s/w.
