Wrong os disk - vista install question

I have an older Acer Travelmate that the OS crapped out. The lap top came with Vista Business 32bit but I did not have the OS on CD. I got a Vista home OS disk to reload the OS and my product key does not work because its for vista business. Can I download Vista business and install over the home version? Not sure how to proceed.

With Acer, first try to boot the computer, while in boot press alt and f10 over and over during boot. If you have a restoration partition, your computer will return to the status it was on the day you took it home. You lose your stuff, updates etc.

Also... if you don't have a restoration partition, you're in luck by having the valid Vista Business license key handy. There is a website where you can do a legal direct download of legitimate installation files on MyDigitalLife. That page provides direct links to Digital River, a legal Microsoft partner for files download. What controls legitimate use of the software is a valid license key.

They don't qualify what flavor of Vista this is. It may be the full deal and the license key controls what options are selectively installed. Either way, this is a good way to go about getting Vista Business freshly installed on your machine.
