I have dial up connection. Today, when I tried to dial up I got the message "if you want to make a call" which was the phone company. Why did I get this?

Try to make the call manually. If you still get the recording its the phone company or the number is no longer valid
If you do not get the message, make sure that your dial up is trying to reach the correct number.
If it does not happen again, just forget about it.
