vista corupt how to remove?

I have the HP g60 series I took it to a local computer repair shop and they told me Windows Vista is curupt so it has to be removed and re loaded, but both of my laptops (a Toshiba as well) were experienceing the same issues the Toshiba was just less broken, I cannot open my control panal or anything else on the HP making it hard to delete programs (actually impossible) so I need to know exactly how to remove it and once I do how do I get the program again I may just buy Windows 7 but can't until my husband gets paid again. I am pretty good with computers and figuring things out even if you just have a website that tells me how that will work for me thanks!

Use Malwarebytes as suggested, if that is not sucessful, run a full anti virus scan
If they are both negative, if you are on a wireless set up, try to run connected by wire off the network.

I called HP I can send it to them if I pay 59.99$ plus shipping plus if they try to say the harddrive is bad I have to pay to replace that or they won't send it back to me....not going with that option. I won't be able to try the options you suggested until tomorrow as I don't have the patients tonight after dealing with my two toddlers all day long and the computer and my husband is at work (24 hour shifts)
