Whenever I open a program and click the minimize button, it does not iconize to the taskbar as usual, but does this in the following image. How to fix?

Thank you for everything you've done for me in the past years. I'm sorry that games require much more than you're capable of, but you'll never be forgotten as my first personal computer <3
Easiest fix may be a restore point from just before the problem started. If you have one. I don't think I've seen this unless some automatic MinimizeToTray type app was used.
Have you booted the machine since this started?
If you have a Registry backup such as with ERUNT that may be one thing sort of using a Restore Point.
For future reference I back up my Registry every day using ERUNT
edit: the other time you might get funky behavior like this is using a 3rd party Theme especially if it replaces the shell DLL.
