Windows Journal Wont Start

I keep getting this message when I attempt to start Windows Journal:

Windows Journal cannot start.
There was an error initializing inking components. If this problem persists after restarting, contact your system administrator.

I've tried the following: restarted, ran CCleaner, I'm using avast! antivirus...

Let me ask you this, have you always not been able to run this program or did it just start ? In other words, have you opened it before and it worked or did it just recently stop working ?

I use Journal maybe about every other month. I've done a system restore and still have the same problem.

Set up a new administrator user account and try from there.

Set up a new admin acct, signed on, same error...

For testing try in safe mode
