Trying To load Bootmgr and system restore

Hi, I have problems with my system righ now..The gist of my problem is that I got a counterfiet copy of windows 7 and I got a small program to clear that and now I lost my startup files to load windows. It says Bootmgr is missing , so I went online to look for solution. I burned the system restore disc from another computer with the same operationg system. Windows 7(my wifes comp). I put the disc in and it gets to the same spot and just hangs for long time... I freed upo like 10 gb before i lost my OS bootmgr. I have a USB stick as well and I put some files too on it for reboot, but still nothing.. Just hangs one spot..

AM I I actually running out of HD Space, if so can I access my hd foiles another way?? or format my d: drive. I cant do anything right now..Stuck... I am using my wifes laptop....

Cause I have counterfiet copy of windows 7 I am needing to roll back to vista somehow..

Any one with some insight to how long system restore should take.

I am hoping this will take care of debug mode which I tried to disable permanantly.

I cant access my safe mode or f10 mode, only f2 and f12 thats it...

I got Acer Aspire 5315 latop...Vista home Basic is my base/orig os and now I have windows 7 and I need to get rid of it permanantly...Illegal copy thats why..

I have read and read this thread you posted over and over and to be honest, i get lost as to what issue is to be solved first. Let me try to gather this up , Boot manager ? only able to F2 or F12 ? What is F12 ? i figure f2 is bios interface display.
You have orig. OS , legal copy of Vista Home Basic, but, you installed illegal copy of Windows 7 ? Did you do a clean install of this , replacing your Vista ?
Do you have a dvd ( legal ) copy of your Vista ?
Can you post back to see if i got this bout right as to your issues ?

Yes I was bad and was torrent downloading for a while. I cam across windows 7 with password cracked.. I extracted it and then I opened it. It wasn't clean install. So therefore it has multiple copies of windows. Basically I decided I am getting new computer with taxes, as I need a new one anyways.

Also cause I need 2 computers for my jon I decided I am getting a external Hd 2tb and have everything run on it that I can switch to each computer..

Now The thing is, I need to know where to find a system restore disk, site that will let me get a factory settings reimage disk I can make.... I cant do ISO files though. I just cant make DVD cause I don't have the right cd/dvd drive...

I need a free one to restore..

As for the f12 If memory serves me it is boot order I think..... I will have to look into that further....

K I am not feeling good right now so I have to go, but I hope you have more insight. I actually forgot about this thread...

would be my 2 cents use a 3rd party software to reformat hard drive then download a copy of ubuntu Download Ubuntu | Ubuntu install that now you have a properly formated hard drive and a legal copy of ubuntu on the hard drive install your legal copy of vista problem solved

KK thakyou, first off I nned to knowif my pq serviceis still active, lol but I will look into it... I am just worried I wont have a computer after this for a while.. This is my work and home laptop at the ame time, I need computer to send my timesheet to the office.

how do I find the pqservice partition and access it? is ther a way to do it without rebooting the computer?
Im just asking these questions on the fly...

Worst comes to worst, I will actually try it after my newe compuer comes after Taxes and fix this one up later date.. TY for the information I will get the program for sure....

Yes my bootmgr is up and running its been a while I am sorry I havent told you sooner, been bus with home life...But the uderline problem is trying to restore my my computer to factory settings from th e pqservice folder and to see if the files werent accidently wiped...

if its any help i can send you a burnt cd of ubuntu and i can also include a burnt copy of my retail windows 7 install cd or i can burn a legal copy of windows vista from my retail instal disk let me know which on you would prefer and also 32 bit or 64 bit thanks(the only reason for burnt cd's is obviously i wont send my origional copy since its all i got

I been on this problem for months and IO need to have my computer restored.. I will pull my small programms I have and burn the install files on disk here ready.. My email should be visible I think..
