will not system restart or defrag to fix issues

So all week the desk top computer has been having issues with lost internet on one user, so decided to run system restore - this simply will not run from any date.

So yesterday tried to run defragmentation - for hours and nothing.

I now have a computer where one user will not connect to the internet at all and when running the defragmentation the security (Kapersky) has stopped working and when I try to run the update its going to 5% and then stops.

I have no idea of what to try to do now before I get a man in to fix it.

Any ideas?

You dont need a man and spend money, just give this user a new user account and transfer his or her stuff to the new account. You may say, but it takes time to transfer the stuff. This is true but a lot cheaper than having someone fix it.

I would run a System File Checker to see if this will fix a problem

Also Check your Performance and information if it shows information about any drivers or programs causing the shutdown to be slow

If it is in just one account its a corrupted account.
