is it just me or is windows vista the worst between itself, 7 and xp and them other ones because vista is driving me mad!!!!!!!!!!!

half of the games dont work because they shut down in the middle of it saying " A problem caused this program to turn off, we will try and find a solution and tell you when we recieve it" but they never solve the problem, it is just insane

Hello chudzio and welcome to the forums

XP has had many years of development which is why it's a very stable OS - there are still bugs, just not as many as there are in Vista/Windows 7. Some say that Windows 7 is what Vista should have been when it was first released, I personally agree, but this is only opinion. Vista got a very bad reputation when it first came out due to driver and software incompatibilities - most of these have since been fixed so it should be alright :) I use Windows 7 and I would recommend that you upgrade if you don't like Vista

Would you like help in trying to get these games to work?

Tom

If you're sure that you meet them, then there's no need :)

Did you try running it in compatibility mode?

Try this as well:

SFC Scan

  1. Open the start menu
  2. In the search box, type cmd
  3. Right click on cmd and select Run as administrator
  4. In command prompt, type:

    sfc /scannow

  5. Let it run and let me know if it finds any Integrity Violations

Have you installed all available windows updates and service packs? and are your graphics and chipset drivers up to date?
