My Aspire has always been in English but after a complete restore (from Acer supplied disks) My machine is French. How do I go back to English. Language choices via Control Panel lets me choose English USA but has no effect everything is still in French.

It sounds like you received the wrong restore disc. I would call Acer and they should make good for the error. If you have Vista Ultimate there may be other methods.

Yha, you installed it in french. You'll need to redo the restore back to english
