Apparently I'm the only person in the world not using "thumbs.db" (if I need to see thumbnails, I have graphics software for that; no need to constantly waste windows resources on it). But I am so tired of downloading files in which every folder containing any image, even if just a 2k gif, will also have a thumbs.db in it. If I now try to move, rename, or delete any of these folders, Vista immediately squawks about "Thumbs.db is a system file. Are you sure you want to move it?" What I'm sure of is I'd like Vista to shut up about it. I've had Vista about three years and must have seen this wretched popup a thousand times ...it has become the source of stentorian outbursts of the most unacceptable language and my considered opinion of how many generations have passed since the family trees of those Micro$oft programmers have branched.
So ...is there a way to get Vista to just completely ignore thumbs.db? Whether renaming, moving, or deleting - just do it?
