Hi, newby here. I have Windows Vista home premium. When online, I'm getting the red x's in white boxes where little icons should be, under my user profile only.
Under my wife's profile (administrator), all the sites work fine.
Like on ebay or paypal, some buttons I can't even see to click, until I run the mouse cursor over the spot.
I'm a member on other forums. Some of the forums are worse than others when it comes to the # of icons screwed up. Like the "add image" and "wrap quotes", all of those options are red x's in white boxes.
I've tried googling this many times and tried to fix it myself, but I need specific help to narrow down the problem. Please help! I payed for Norton and some kind of PC boost from them(live guy takes over your computer and "cleans it up), hoping that would help, but no.
They did help me narrow it down to a problem with Internet explorer, maybe. They downloaded Mozilla Firefox, and when I get online with that everything works fine!?
I'm not the most computer literate person. I'm comfortable with Internet explorer (all my favorites and what-not) and don't want to lose that or swith to something else.
I did do a system restore to a point months before. It worked for a day or two, but that was it.
Thanks in advance for any help, Mike
