"Allocated" Shadow Copy Storage space

How can I increase the limit of "allocated" Shadow Copy Storage space on drive C: from 783.31 MB to maybe 4.9 GB(?), proportionately equal to drive D: ?

Volume D: size = 60 GB (Win 7)
Volume C: size = 40 GB (Vista)

Shadow Copy Storage association
For volume: (D:)\\?\Volume{e81d4bc2-bb04-11
Shadow Copy Storage volume: (D:)\\?\Volume{xxxx
63}\
Used Shadow Copy Storage space: 5.758 GB
Allocated Shadow Copy Storage space: 5.983 GB
Maximum Shadow Copy Storage space: 6 GB

Shadow Copy Storage volume: (C:)\\?\Volume{xxxx

Used Shadow Copy Storage space: 485.438 MB
Allocated Shadow Copy Storage space: 783.31 MB
Maximum Shadow Copy Storage space: 5.042 GB

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

I'm not really an expert about this, but the way I understand it is the "used" space is how much information it's storing, "allocated" is how much space it tells the OS it's taking up (usually a little more than "used" space; I think of it as a kind of buffer, but again I'm no expert) and "maximum" is how much it's allowed to take up. So I don't think you can change the "allocated" space directly (without just making a bunch of restore points) and don't see any reason you would need to either. So you have (on your D:\ drive) 5 GB Max space, which means it's allowed to occupy up to 5 GB of space, even though it's only taking up 485 MB and saying it has 783 MB right now. If you want to change the Max space then those tutorials are great (Rich's link is more clear and easier to follow), but changing the "allocated" space seems unnecessary and I don't think it's possible.
