Solved is chkdsk successful, what failed & caused status 50

I am still attempting to get my hp pavillion desk top fixed. I have tried to due factory image resore and if it succeeds and does restart it is still erroring and not opening to desktop. I have done chkdsk/v then /f then /r seperately. I am still getting the "failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50. What does this meant, and are the repairs successful?
