items i dont need(or want)

i keep geting the ask toolbar to enable and a FROSTWIRE thingy pops up too....how do i get rid of them? im running vist home premium

Well, Frostwire is easy
Go to search
type
msconfig
go to startup
untick frostwire



I would try this for the ask toolbarClose all open Web browse
From the "Start" menu in Windows, select "Control Panel". Under the "Programs" icon, select "Uninstall a program"
Select the program with the Ask logo and the text "Ask Toolbar" (or our partner’s brand for a custom Toolbar)
Click "Uninstall" and then "Continue" to remove the Toolbar

You might want to try the free version of WinPatrol

It periodically checks startup locations for things being added and asks if you want to keep them.
Also will query if you really want stuff stuck on like IE Helper Objects. I've been using it for years.

It is also quasi anti virus, it warns you of any changes, that you may not have authorized.

Very convenient for installs too. Instead of fighting an installer or trying to figure out how to prevent it from setting its program to auto start, just let it install. When WinPatrol asks if you want that, click No and the auto start entry is gone!! Great if you're lazy like I am. :)
