i'm using a 2009 gateway laptop that i use mainly for menial tasks and a little gaming, well one day i alt-tabbed out of my game and in the process of flipping screens the computer froze and wouldn't budge so i shut it down manually and then powered it back up and it came up with three options, start windows normally, start windows in safe mode, and start up repair. so i do start up repair so it goes to the loading screen and after it loads it goes to a black screen and stops and after waiting for 1 hour or so i turn it off and try the other two....... same thing so i try all the options in the f8 start up repair options, i even took it as far as system recovery but still nothing i just goes to a black screen after loading. some help or insight in to this problem would be much appreciated.
