Solved Help with a corrupted directory!

I'm not entirely sure if this is in the right section, but I have a folder on my Desktop that I am unable to delete. It has another folder inside it that is also un-deletable. Each time I attempt to delete either folder, I get an error message: "Error 0x80070091: the directory is not empty". I have tried every solution I found using Google: taking ownership (received an access denied error), using KillBox (unable to delete directory for both the standard delete and the delete on reboot), and Unlocker (got a message telling me to run chkdsk, which did not run on any of my several re-boots). I'm out of ideas!

Maybe this will help
File - Delete from Command Prompt - Windows 7 Forums, same in Vista.
Be sure that it is not needed, however. Once deleted it is gone.
Run a full anti virus scan
Download and make a full scan with malarebytes.

I tried deleting the folder using the command prompt and received another error: "the directory is corrupted and unreadable, please run the chkdsk utility" which, yet again, did not work. Thanks for the quick response though.

The MWB scan revealed nothing malicious. I have tried all the command prompt-related suggestions and none of them have worked. A fair few of them even said that the file could not be located. It's almost as if the folder is there cosmetically, but nothing can be done to it.

I can get rid of it for you, BUT are you positive its not something that is needed?

I am 100% sure it is not a needed folder in any way, shape, or form.

Before we use a nuclear bomb to get rid of an ant, did you try unlocker in safe mode?

Yes, I've tried Unlocker with Safe Mode. As with other methods, it yielded no positive results.

Lets try this first

If that does not work, we can just hide it, which is what I would do.
If you want it gone, Ill bring out the atomic weapons.

See if you can hide it. If this does not work, I have one other suggestion, but I would not use it myself for the small problem involved

The .reg fix didn't work. How would I go about hiding the folder?
