Solved Phone not connecting to pc for sync

Hi I got a Samsung convoy phone SCH640 I have the right cable and It is saying connection failure..I want to know if it is a a setting in sevices or what... If so which setting and how to fix...I want to DL my music to my phone....

I got Acer Aspire 5315 windows Vista.....

I use a Nexus S, so I'm not really much help, but from the manual, you need to us their specific program...

Ive done it before with windows media player sync...and I took my pics off the phone before, but now it wont connect, I got the right cord and it is new... Its just not connecting for some reason.. I will play around with it after my nap... Thank you for your help any ways.. I hope we can be friends... My Fav Bands are from Canada...... Rush...Kim Mitchell Band and Max Webster....

Might be a driver issue. I don't know if this will work with removable devices, but try it anyway: Go to the Start Orb in the bottom left of your desktop, click it, and type "device manager" without the quotes, and hit Enter. Expand all of those categories (by clicking the little + symbols) and see if there are any yellow triangles with ! marks inside them next to any of those devices.

I can access the phone with usb mass storage mode, but not Sync Music mode it says connection failure..I have the right cord and its new... I tried in different ports on hun and computer itself.. I have downloaded Vcast from verizon I just need a restart.. Ill try that later and I will get back later and let you know how it works...

Ok let us know how that works. If it just randomly stopped letting you sync, it's probably an issue with WMP. Or maybe you upgraded your phone firmware or something like that recently? (sorry, I don't know much about any phones other than iPhones, so pardon me if that was a completely ridiculous question :) )

Not at all I love ridiculous questuions becuase i can give equally rediculous answers.... Actually I downloaded the driver online.. I thought it was Vcast I was supposed to, but I can now sync with WMP..Just needed driver... I forgot to put it back on after I had to reimage my computer after a major issues..I am still recovering from it.. I lost many hours of music...Most I had on CD any ways..Im going to wait till I get my external HD before I reload the bulk of my music...

As for the sync it works niow..... Thank you for the reply and concern....

Vcast/raphsody you have to pay for to buy songs when I can just use my dl programs to get them.....

I just need to find out if I can upload custom ringtones via cable...........I can make my own now....

Thanks.. I a just need that extra input to jog my thinking....It doesnt help when my glasses are broken and I cant see very well.. I got slight cataracs too which doesnt help...Looking at some websites is hard because the textis so small...niw know how to bring up magnifying glass which helps a bit...

Funny thing is, my wife got a new phone and now i got hers so I now have to work out how to put custom ringtones on it, I know the format and size limit, just need to know where to upload it to..

Today my wife got a new phone so I got hers, its a samsung intensity 2..The only thing wrong with it, when you talk into it, people on the otherside cant hear very well, I mainly use mine for text so this one has a keyboard.....

I just need to figure out how to show extentions in the files, I know its in control panel somewhere, I did it and for somereason I did something and lost it again... I hope to figure it out soon...lol

If you mean in a windows explorer box, then its as simple as just switching the view mode in the "view" menu.

Or in a explorer window, goto "Tools" then "View" then theres a button for "Hide known file type extensions"

Just as a fyi, you can zoom the internet in, or anything for that matter, by holding ctrl and using the scroll wheel.
