Solved Is it OK to use msconfig ?

I have always used Msconfig in order to stop unwanted programmes starting up when I turn on my computer. I have now been told by someone more experienced than me that this is not a good idea because it can really mix things up especially if I wish to modify one of the programmes at a later date. I'm using Vista Home Premium 32 bit. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

If done properly you have nothing to worry about. Using msconfig is just one of a few methods to enable, disable, add, or remove startup programs.
