Windows Memory Diagnostic tool.

I can perform a Standard test without any difficulty. However, when I tried to attempt an Extended test the process halted at about 10% of even the
first test. After about a quarter of an hour it was still at this point so I pressed Esc to cancel the test.
How long would this Extended test normally take ? Was I a little premature in stopping it ?

Sorry, a little too technical for me and I cannot follow the logic of your suggestions. I am loath to interfere with something that I am not sure about .I'll have to be satisfied with the Basic "on board" Windows Memory test which tells me all is well. Thanks, all the same.
