2 instances of things after moving pics & music

Hello everyone

I recently reinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit on my computer. I usually keep my music and photos in D drive instead of the usual C. So I proceeded to move the contents like I do when I do a clean reinstall.

However, I have two instances of Music in the Start menu. If I hover my mouse over them, one clearly says that it's pictures and the other music. But when I try to rename one, it renames them both. I tried a few times to restore the default locations but after trying a few times, it won't let me do anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Lukiboo, and welcome to Vista Forums.

If you have not already, you might see if doing OPTION TWO in the tutorial below may be able to restore the default locations of theses user folders to be able to try moving them again afterwards.

Thank you for your reply. I did end up doing a clean reinstall and clean up at the same time. I will keep your post in mind if it ever happens again.
