Faulty drive - can I run some sort of diagnostics?

I have three internal drives, C:, D and E.

D and E are used for storing digital image files.

Just now I got an error message saying that the E drive was reporting a problem and I should back up the computer. Since the E drive is backed up daily to an external drive, I ignored this.

Both D and E are 2Tb drives that I had recently installed, so I am a bit surprised at this problem so soon.

Is there any inbuilt diagnostic and repair tool that I could run to check for and repair errors on the E drive ( and the others while I'm at it)?

I ran the inbuilt diagnostic tool, ticking both boxes (sytems errors and bad sectors) and this took all night!

When I checked this morning, it said that the disk was now OK and ready to use.

It also said that problem files had been placed in a new folder called "Found".

I cannot see this folder anywhere.

Any idea where it might be or how I might look for it?

That's what I did run and it took all night.

The drive had been making an odd noise (at least I assume it was this drive - I've got three internal drives) and the noise has now stopped.

It's the Found folder that was created by Check Disk that I'd like to locate. I'd like to see the files it put there.
