Did massive updates now battery icon gone

After going through the 21 updated yesterday, I logged on today and my battery icon is gone. I tried to reactivate it but it is grayed out and I cannot check it. Any suggestions?

hello tfdjr, welcome to the forum.

Right click on the taskbar, near the notification icons in the bottom right of the screen.

Press properties. Select Notification Area and check the Power Option. done.

Thanks for the help, the link in your post showed me how to un-gray the power checkbox.

To Enable the Power Icon - Enable_Power.reg < CLICK TO DOWNLOAD (attached file)

1. Click on Save, and save the .reg file to the Desktop.

2. Right click on the .reg file (on Desktop) and click on Merge.

3. Click on the Run button in the Security Warning pop-up.

4.Click on Continue (UAC), Yes, and then OK when prompted.

5. When done, you can delete the .reg file (on Desktop).

6. Log off and log on, or restart the computer to apply the changes.
