Problems Transferring Photos

I have been having this problem from day one when I try to transfer photos from a camera most of the photos transfer to the computer ok, but about 1 in twenty have distortions in them. I have tried several cameras and software but the problem is still there. I have to go in and delete the photo and copy and past sometimes several times before the photo will transfer right.


I have tried removing the card from the camera and using card readers but I still have the problem.


On the 1st I tried to transfer about 500 photos from the day and it took me about 2hr. to get all the photos to transfer.

32bit or 64bit?
Model no.of computer, total ram, other specs.?
Is it windows live photo gallery, or other photo suite?
Are all necessary drivers/software up to date?

HP M8247C AMD 64 Live. ram 3GB. The problem is with any photos I try to transfer to the computer whether a use a card reader or a photo program. all drivers and software are up to date. the problem seams to happen more if I use software. then about 1/2 the photos are no good if I use a card reader it is about 1 in 20 or so

There is certainly a lot of queries on this subject many with, home premium.
Have you tried the exact photo card in another computer?
Checked, probably double checked, drivers/software, i.e. computer photo suite?
Have you tried camera in other computer, as well as checking camera software/updates, if applicable?

There are also snippets of info on the problem of transfer, but on win 7.
Whether some of that info may be of use i'm unsure. But the link below will get us started.

Interesting that in some cases it was the kaspersky or other AV preventing/obstructing download.
