I'm helping a friend with her computer. This is my second experience with Vista. Here is her problem:
"I am sharing the PC with my husband here at the house. He set up a separate identity for me with my own logon so I could set up my email, documents, etc. It seemed to be working fine until this morning when I logged on and couldn't find any of the documents I'd saved and created. None of the emails I've sent this week are stored in my "sent" folder even though they were all there yesterday. And the only emails that show up are things that were sent after about 11:30 a.m yesterday. Nothing from the rest of this week or last."
At the moment, I am remotely logged into the computer with TeamViewer. Her husband's account is open. He is an administrator on the machine.
The problem sounds like a profile problem, based on my knowledge of XP. When I try to look at her \user\wife_name folder, I don't have permission. Vista offers a path to get permission, but since I'm not familiar with Vista, I don't go there yet.
Can someone offer me a troubleshooting path to solve this problem? Her email is Outlook 2003.
