Missing DRM Registry Components

I don't have a clue how I did it, but the contents of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DRM seems to be empty and as a result I keep getting DRM errors from the media sharing service.

Is anyone else able to confirm, or even better, post a screen dump of whats supposed to be under the DRM Registry Key

System Restore would be best. If you want one quick try at fixing it (just to see if it works - system restore afterwards anyway, just to make sure that it does not come back to haunt you later)

net stop ehrecvr

Import the registry script attached (I have skimmed it down - I think it should rebuild the rest of the key from this)

net start ehrecvr

Hi niemiro, that reg tweak fixed it.

I would have SR'd my system, but I know it wasn't working for a while once i'd picked up on it as theres some notices in event log from way back.

What does the contents of your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DRM key look like now? I have never done this before, and the rest of my key looked computer specific, so I am just hoping that restarting the service has re-built it!

Heres the screen dump of the DRM registry key. It basically tells vista to use the DRM folder for DRM related stuff.

Yeah, it hasn't rebuilt the others. I had a feeling that that value would fix it - makes sense; hopefully the lack of the rest will not come back to haunt you later, but I cannot rebuild them.
