Would someone post a link to the genuine OEM for an HP DV6 OS SP1?

Not the updates, but the backbone operating system.

Mine is DV6 and OS is Home Premium X86. I want the one which you may activate using the code under your laptop.

If that does not work, you can get a CD from HP for cost, about $25.00

Dont forget either way you will lose your stuff, so back up if you can.

Thanks for the fast response. However, the recovery partition is corrupt (chief culprit) and I got this machine from KSA, not USA.


I tried raising HP in the USA, but they said model number is not in their database.. It totally logical since merchandise over there is not the same over here. I wonder if someone would upload theirs to a torrent or a direct FTP. Would save alot to people after legit items.


Before you even say it, No. They dont have the recovery DVD in Saudi Arabia.
